Sasha was 3 ½ months old when the police brought him and his sisters to us. The police claimed that the children had been in the home for several days without any adult presence. He was 3.2 kilograms at birth; when we received him, he was only 3.5 kilograms. He was suffering with failure to thrive and had to be fed 2 ounces of milk every 2 hours. Sasha had lots of medical issues. When he was about 9 months old he tested positive with HIV. The doctor explained that babies under 18 months can test positive if the mother has it. So we did a DNA test and he was negative. He also was suffering with oral motor disorder. Sadly, the social worker who was with the police thought that Sasha would not live, praise the Lord she was wrong.

Sasha has problems with his eyes, not only eyesight, but both of his eyes wander. He needs surgery on both eyes.
